Making tax digital (MTD)
Currently, Making Tax Digital (MTD) has only affected VAT registered entities who have turnovers above the present registration threshold of £85,000.
Soon, however, as HMRC strives to become “one of the most digitally advanced tax administrations in the world,” MTD will form part of the accounting process for all VAT submissions, personal taxes and corporation tax.
What Does This Mean to You?
If you are not VAT registered with a turnover above the threshold there will be no current changes. However, should you need to make MTD submissions, or simply “just be ahead of the game,” you are required to keep track of all your sales and expenses in a digital format.
This is where we can help.
With the support of QuickBooks and Autoentry, we have ensured our clients are fully compliant where required.
We also offer these digital services where MTD is not yet a legal requirement. Our clients, who use the programmes, have found it saves them time in preparing their information, whilst also making them fully compliant for future changes.
